Hey Eli and Felix, first of all thank you so much for having me for an interview. It’s amazing talking to you guys! And for start this interview, where in the world are you?

Weekend Heroes: We are from Israel. Felix enjoying his life in North of country while Eli is located in Tel Aviv.

Since 2021 I’ve been seeing Weekend Heroes dropping a lot of awesome tracks. Could I say that this is the best moment for this project?

Weekend Heroes: Well, we had noticeable highlight around 2010 – 2012. But yes, now we are full time into the project and things looks (and sounds) good at the moment. Thanks! 🙂

Your recent ‘Dragonfly’ EP is a really Progressive House banger with two killer tracks. Could you guys tell us about the EP and what the idea it came from?

Weekend Heroes: Dragonfly EP made as mixture between Prog House, Melodic Techno and high energies. We just wanted to make real “banger” for the right moments, when party needs that.

Weekend Heroes: Zac is a good friend for a while now and amazing DJ as well. We worked online, sharing the work in progress, was fun and we super happy with the result. And to have it out via AME Records is great feeling too, and we might come to play there some day soon. 🙂

You recently debuted on wonderful electronic music labels such as EIN2, Siona Records, Zerothree Music and Anjunabeats to name a few. Do you intend to return to these labels or do you prefer to continue reaching new labels?

Weekend Heroes: We definitively will back to Anjunabeats and already have next single coming on Zerothree Music. As well as return to The Soundgarden.

About EIN2 – no. But we have signed an EP to their mothership label Einmusika!

Among the artists of the new generation of electronic music, is there anyone that catches your attention?

Weekend Heroes: There is many, as we open for different kind of sounds. There is great producers such Argy, Kevin De Vries and on other hand great “deeper” acts such Sebastian Leger and Lost Desert for example. We like tight and professional sounding music, so this aspect is important to us.

Do you have a “Dream collab” in the Progressive House or Melodic Techno scene?

Weekend Heroes: Sasha! Or Han Zimmer! Would be so lovely to share studio time with them. 🙂

In your opinion what is the most exciting thing happening in dance music currently?

Weekend Heroes: There are many exciting things going on. We like the Organic House movement for its vibes and really cool crowd. We also done some tunes in that direction.

And now looking ahead, how do you guys see the electronic music future in the next 10 years?

Weekend Heroes: Hopefully growing into mature scene with beautiful events and crowds. Less commercial, more soulful and with meaning. We live Electronic Music over two decades now and easily can say – Music is our life and our life is Music.
