Anjunabeats Mainstay SØNIN Collaborates with JS on New Single ‘Brighton BOP’

Finnish DJ, producer, and Anjunabeats mainstay SØNIN, teams up with fellow Helsinki native and trance legend JS on ‘Brighton BOP.’ Named after the English coastal city, SØNIN recently debuted the track at his Anjunabeats Outdoors show at Brighton’s Concorde 2.

About SØNIN

With over a decade of production experience with some of dance music’s biggest names, he’s no stranger to breaking into the trance charts. His 2023 debut EP on Anjunabeats, the ‘Affection’ EP, flew up the Beatport Top 100 Trance chart, with standout track ‘Passion’ quickly landing at #1. Most recently, SØNIN’s ‘Nano’ also shot to #1 and saw support from more of the genre’s top acts like Armin van Buuren, Jason Ross, and Ferry Corsten, to name just a few.

Now, SØNIN teams up with platinum-selling producer Jaakko Salovaara, under his new JS moniker. Jaakko is widely renowned for his work on Darude’s smash hit ‘Sandstorm’ in 1999 and Bomfunk MC’s ‘Freestyler.’

“When I was starting out my journey in the music industry, I met Jaakko through our mutual friends. At that time, he was one of the most successful Nordic dance music producers with songs like ‘Sandstorm’ and ‘Freestyler’ under his belt. I ended up helping him out in his studio with productions, and he mentored me a lot on songwriting and the power of a great hook in my tracks.
